The Ridley Ensemble

The Ridley Ensemble is based in Philadelphia and includes Mitzi DeWhitt, Richard Finestone and Chris Wertenbaker. These selections, primarily from Songs and Rhythms of Asia and Music of the Sayyids and Dervishes, are arranged for harmonium and other instruments including oud and kanun, enhancing the folk nature of these Gurdjieff/de Hartmann pieces. The musicians are making a serious study of musical tonalities and their effect on the human psyche.
