What is the primary effort the Gurdjieff teaching calls us to make?
Our first effort is always to return to the present moment and our physical, mental, and emotional existence within it.
As a 20th and 21st century spiritual teacher, how important, in our view, was G.I. Gurdjieff?
If we did not view Gurdjieff as one of the most significant spiritual teacher within recent centuries, Gurdjieff Books and Music would not exist. To us this is a service to an enduring current within the movement of life.

The American Soul
Jacob Needleman
Heading 1
Heading 1
This book by esteemed philosopher Jacob Needleman explores the meaning and promise of "America" through different perspectives from notable individuals throughout our history. It continues to be as timely today as when it was initially published in 2003.
"If, inside the Capitol, there can exist only the raw clay of self-interest, cunning and deception mixed with rare specks of honesty and conscience, then so be it…If the government of the United States of America has lost its way, let the way itself be remembered in seeing even as we collectively fall so far from it. Let the forms we have, the words we use, degraded though they may have become, sound again their ideal meaning so that we can know again and with renewed clarity what it is we are searching for, what we wish for and why."
